Dear Colleagues,
We would like to call your attention to a theme session focused on the
mammalian fossil record of Utah to be held at the 2011 Geological
Society of America Combined Rocky Mountain-Cordilleran Section Meeting.
The meeting will be held in Logan, Utah, from May 18-20, 2011. This
theme session will highlight current research on mammalian paleontology
in Utah that includes, but is not restricted to, aspects of
paleobiology, systematics, taphonomy, paleoecology, and biostratigraphy
and biochronology.
The meeting will be followed by a two day field trip focused on the
paleontology and stratigraphy of the historic Bridger and Uinta basins
in Wyoming and Utah (stratotypes of the Bridgerian, Uintan and
Duchesnean North American Land Mammal “Ages”).
The abstract deadline for the theme session is February 15, 2011.
